Including email & text scams, romance scams, phone scams & fraud, bitcoin scams, skimming/gas station credit card frauds.
Detective Bohn attended Hopatcong High School and graduated in 1998. He then attended County College of Morris and obtained an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. In 2002 Det. Bohn was hired by the Hopatcong Borough Police Department where he remained until 2009. He then transferred to the Chester Police Department (Chester Township originally). He worked as a Patrol Officer and a senior supervising officer until 2019 when he was made Chester Police Department’s first full time (SRO) School Resource Officer. As an SRO Det. Bohn was in charge of the safety and security of the Staff/Students of Bragg and Dickerson Elementary Schools. He also was (LEAD) certified, Law Enforcement Against Drugs and taught the 6th Grade middle school students the dangers of drug and alcohol use. In 2023 Det. Bohn was promoted to Detective and is currently assigned to the Chester Police Department Detective Bureau where he works on Fraud and Identity Theft cases under Lt./Det. Cavanagh. Detective Bohn is set to retire in July of 2027.
